Register Today for Fall Art Classes

Explore your creative side at a Fargo Park District Art Class. The Fargo Park District is holding two fall art classes beginning in September. Artmania will be held Mondays, September 8-October 13 and Accelerated Artists will be held Thursdays, September 4-October 9. Both classes will be held from 6:30-8:00 pm at the Robert D. Johnson Rec Center. Pre-registration is required. <more>

Patriot Golf Day at Fargo Public Courses

The Fargo Park District's public golf courses will be participating in Patriot Golf Day over this coming Labor Day weekend. Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1, golfers nationwide will be asked to donate a minimum of $1 to benefit the folds of the Honor Foundation, which provides educational scholarships to families of those who have become disabled or lost their lives in the line of duty. Donation baskets will be available at all five Fargo Public Golf Courses including Edgewood, Rose Creek, Osgood, Prairiewood and El Zagal. Help support the nation's troops and their families.

Fall Festival at Rheault Farm - September 20, 21, 27 & 28

Celebrate fall with us! Fall Festival at Rheault Farm will be held on September 20-21 & 27-28. The hours are Saturdays 10am - 5:00 pm and Sundays Noon - 5:00 pm. Walk through a straw bale maze, make autumn themed crafts, take a barrel train ride and pick your favorite pumpkin from our pumpkin patch. Admission to Fall Festival is free with a mix of free and ticketed events. <more>

FM Area Celebrities vs. The Harlem Ambassadors

The CHARISM charity basketball game will be held on Sunday, October 12 at 5 pm at Fargo South High School. The Harlem Ambassadors, will take on a lineup of FM celebrities, including Fargo Park District Executive Director Roger Gress.  Advance tickets available at all Hornbacher’s locations and Cashwise on 13th Ave.  Visit www.charism.org for more details.

u18 world hockey tournamentFargo-Moorhead to Host IIHF World U-18
Championship (Tentative Dates, April 9-19, 2009)

USA Hockey announced that Fargo, North Dakota and Moorhead, Minnesota will play host to the 2009 International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Championship. The IIHF World Under-18 Championship is a 10-nation tournament that features the world's best players under 18 years of age. The primary venue for the 2009 IIHF World Under-18 Championship will be the 5,000-seat Urban Plains Center in Fargo. The Moorhead Sports Center, with a capacity of 3,000, will also host games during the IIHF World Under-18 Championship. <more>

Park Policy Use

Public use of park property owned by the Fargo Park District requires permission for public and/or private events. This includes press conferences, public displays, rallies, and recreation events. Written requests are required to secure the proper permit. Call 241-1350 for information.
