Folk Festival Take a trip to Germany without leaving Fargo. Enjoy authentic German food and music at this festival. German displays, crafts and an entertainment stage featuring a band from Germany will be part of this celebration. Admission to the event is free.

Starlight Band: From Southern Area of Germany. Currently on tour of the Midwest. 
Performing at Noon, 2pm and 4pm.
El Zagal Shrine Band: Local brass band playing German folk music.
Performing at 1pm and 3pm.
Ron Vossler: Humorist on German topics. Performance at 2pm.
German Menu: Fried Knoephla w/Butter, Sauerkraut and Sausage; Cheese Buttons; Krueller-German pastry (like doughnuts); German chocolate brownies; burgers, polish sausage and hot dogs. Prepared by Cookhouse Catering of Goodrich ND.
Kids Activities: Schultuete (school cone treat), German Flag, Edelweiss Hat

The Starlight Band from Germany will be performing July 26, 1:00-3:00pm at the Fargo VFW, 202 Broadway, Downtown Fargo. There will be brats for sale by the VFW Auxiliary. This site allows 21 and older only on site. Money raised by the Auxiliary will benefit the national program Operation Snowball. This program supports kids whose parents who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan where one parent has made the ultimate sacrifice of their life through service to their county. This benefits the remaining spouse and child for a trip to Disneyland or Disneyword. Each trip costs $500.
