Youth
GolfThis is an instructional program for youth ages 7-12 that teaches the basic fundamentals of golf. These are group lessons with an eight to one student to instructor ratio. Each summer the Fargo Park District offers two, four-week sessions of Youth Golf Lessons. Lessons are taught at Edgewood, Rose Creek, Prairiewood and Osgood.
There are three levels offered:
Rookie: Geared for 7-9 year olds who have never golfed or have minimal experience.
Beginner: Geared for youth under 9 years old with one year experience or over 9 years old with no or minimal experience.
Intermediate: Geared toward youth with two or more years of experience, ages 10-12.
Participants have a chance to earn “Points” for prizes at the end of the program. At the end of each session, a tournament and a picnic will be offered for all participants and parents. Please see specific times, levels and codes below to register. Prior to June 20th, each participant is allowed to register for one session ONLY. On or after this date, provided there are still openings in the second session, first session participants will be allowed to register for the second session.
Session 1: June 2-26 (possible
make-up June 30)
Session 2: July 7-31 (possible make-up August 4 & 5)
(Due to course conflicts, some lessons may be moved to Fridays.)
