Youth TennisTennis "Free For All"

Tennis "free for all" is a program designed to introduce adults and juniors to the lifetime sport of tennis. Instruction, games and fun!!!

Star Junior Tennis 1-2-3

Lessons

Session I: June 2 - June 27 (4 weeks)
Session II: July 7 - August 1 (4 weeks)

This program is structured to provide an opportunity to learn and play the game of tennis. Our emphasis is on FUN, fitness, and skill development. Lessons (M-Th) will involve drills and FUN games to test individual skills. Fridays will be USA Junior Team Tennis play day. The sites where lessons are available are Island Park, Elephant Park, Southwest Park, Discovery Park, and Bennett Park.

Fees: $40.00 per session for levels 1-3. All participants will receive a t-shirt (one t-shirt per summer). Student to instructor ratio is 10 to 1. Add $20.00 to any fee and receive a new Wilson racquet.

Level I: (Beginner)-Introduction of basic strokes, court positioning,
parts of the court, and scoring.

Grades K-2: Tues., Thurs., & Fridays 9:00 - 10:00 am
Grades 3-5: Mon., Wed., & Fridays 9:00 - 10:00 am
Grades 6-8: Tues., Thurs., & Fridays 9:00 - 10:00 am

Level 2: (Adv. Beginner)-In this level we will emphasize consistency
of the basic strokes.

Grades K-2: Tues., Thurs., & Fridays 10:00 - 11:00 am
Grades 3-5: Mon., Wed., & Fridays 10:00 - 11:00 am
Grades 6-8: Tues., Thurs., & Fridays 10:00 - 11:00 am

Level 3: (Beginning Intermediate)-This level will begin to learn
basic strategy and direction.

Grades 1-3: Tues., Thurs, & Fridays 11:00 am - 12:00 noon
Grades 4-6: Mon., Wed., & Fridays 11:00 am - 12:00 noon
Grades 7-9: Tues., Thurs., & Fridays 11:00 am - 12:00 noon

Tennis 1-2-3 (Adults)

Fee: $40.00

Lessons

All Adult lessons will be taught at Island Park. Sessions are four weeks long.

Level 2: (Beginner Play)-Tuesdays 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Begin to learn direction, basic strategy and play.

MXP
maximum performance academy
Competitive training for the serious junior tennis player. Stroke production, singles and doubles strategy, conditioning, footwork and mental toughness will be stressed through goal setting and handouts.

If you would like to learn tennis from a certified tennis professional at Courts Plus Fitness Center, this program is for you! There will be a ratio of 6 students to one professional. Classes are taught at Island Park tennis courts only. For more information, call Ryan at 237-4805.

MXP III & MXP II

One Session Only: June 2- August 1 (No lessons week of July 4)

Includes instruction Mon. - Thurs., Junior Team Tennis on Fridays, 12:30 - 2:00 pm, and a MXP t-shirt. Session is 8 weeks long. Must have approval from the Director of Junior Tennis, Ryan Myhre to enter these levels.

Fee: $352.00.

MXP III
(JV to lower varsity players) Mon-Thurs, 9:00-10:30 am
MXP II ( Must be willing to begin tournament play) Mon-Thurs, 10:30-Noon

MXP I & Tournament MXP

One Session Only: June 2-August 1 (No lessons week of July 4)

Tournament levels are eight week sessions. The fees include instruction Monday - Thursday,
matchplay from 2:00-3:30 pm on Friday, and a MXP t-shirt. Must have approval from the Director of Junior Tennis, Ryan Myhre to enter these levels.

Fee: $352.00

MXP I (USTA Championship level and top varsity players) Mon-Thurs, 12:30-2:00 pm
MXP Tourney (Entry by invitation only) Mon-Thurs, 2:00-3:30 pm
